The math is simple.Winning is not.
Take cards off the table by adding up to exactly 11.
What is Phurti?
Phurti is the free online version of a Georgian folk card game for 2-4 players. In Georgian it’s called ფურთი (phurti, also spelled purti or furti). In some regions it also goes by “11” (თერთმეტი). It’s a fast, math-based card-capturing game from the Pasur family, played with a standard 52-card deck: you take cards off the table by adding up to exactly eleven. The rules take a minute to learn, a match takes about ten minutes, and the game is a lot more tactical than it looks.
Play with friends at your own table or take on opponents from around the world: quick matchmaking, a friends list with private messages and table invites, and animated emotes and phrases during the game. Climb the country and world leaderboards, unlock achievements with chip rewards, and add avatar frames to your collection. All of it in a hand-drawn chalkboard style, in 14 languages.
Phurti has been played at family tables in Georgia for generations. Now that table is open to everyone, wherever you are.

How to play
The deal
Each player gets 4 cards, with 4 more dealt face up on the table. When everyone’s hand is empty, each player gets another 4. No more cards go on the table from the deck. This continues until the whole 52-card deck has been played. Any cards left on the table at the end go to whoever made the last capture. There are no jokers in the deck.
Your turn
On your turn, you play exactly one card. If it adds up to 11 with any cards on the table, you take those cards along with your own. Suit doesn’t matter. An ace counts as 1. For example: there’s a 3 and a 4 on the table. Play a 4 and take all three cards (3 + 4 + 4 = 11). If more than one capture is possible, you pick the one you want. If your card doesn’t make 11, it stays on the table and the turn passes to the next player.
Captures are mandatory
You can play any card in your hand. But if the card you play makes a capture, you have to take it.
Face cards
Face cards don’t count toward sums: a queen takes one queen from the table and a king takes one king. The jack sweeps up everything on the table at once, except queens and kings. If there’s nothing to take, the jack stays on the table.
Scoring
Each round is worth five points:
- 2 points for the most cards
- 1 point for the most clubs
- 1 point for taking the 10♦
- 1 point for taking the 2♣
The first player to reach 11 points wins the match (the traditional tabletop game is played to 21). If “most cards” or “most clubs” ends in a tie, nobody gets those points.
New to the game?
The interactive tutorial takes a couple of minutes and shows you how captures work and where the points come from. AI practice matches have no stakes and don’t affect the leaderboards, so you can play until it clicks. The full rules are always right there in the game.
Levels, leaderboards, and collection
Every match you finish earns experience. Level up and earn chips and other rewards for the achievements you unlock.
If you like to compete, there are leaderboards for your country and for the whole world. The monthly leaderboard resets on the 1st, so everyone gets a fresh shot at the top. The month’s strongest players earn medals that stay in their profile for good. The “All time” leaderboard is the overall ranking across the game’s entire history.
FAQ
Is Phurti free?
Yes. Phurti is free to play and you don’t need to sign up to start. In-app purchases (chip packs, avatar frames, emote packs) and rewarded ads are completely optional. You never have to buy anything to play. Chips are virtual game currency only: they have no real-world value and can’t be cashed out or transferred to another player. Bailout chips and optional rewarded ads top up your balance for free.
Are there ads?
Only if you want them. There are no banners and no videos in the middle of a match. The only ads in Phurti are the rewarded ones you choose to watch for bonus chips (with a daily limit).
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Create your own table, choose the stake in chips, and send your friends a link that takes them straight to your table. Add friends to your list, chat in private messages, and invite them to a table with one tap. At the table, trade fun animated emotes and phrases.
Can I play against the computer?
Phurti is an online game, but you’ll never be stuck waiting alone. If matchmaking can’t find opponents for a while, the app offers a practice match against an AI opponent, with no stakes and no effect on your stats or leaderboards. And the interactive tutorial walks you through the rules in a couple of minutes.
Which platforms are supported?
Android and iOS.
Do I need an account?
No. Just jump in as a guest. To keep your progress across devices, link your account whenever you like: Google or Play Games on Android, Apple or Game Center on iOS.
Is Phurti the same game as “11”?
Yes. All over Georgia, this folk card game is called Phurti (ფურთი). In some regions it also goes by “11” (თერთმეტი), after the total you need to make. The app is the online version of that game.
What languages is Phurti available in?
Fourteen: English, Georgian, Ukrainian, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, Arabic, Persian, and Chinese (Simplified). The game follows your device language. You can switch it anytime in the settings.
Is the game fair?
All game logic runs on the server: the deal is random and the cards and points are equally fair for everyone. If an opponent is being unpleasant, you can report or block them. Once blocked, they disappear from your friends list and search results and can’t message you anymore.
Who can play?
Phurti is a game for adults. Matches are played for virtual chips. There’s no real money and there are no prizes, but the game simulates gambling-style card play, so you have to be 18 or older to play.
